Required Offerings
On each day, on the admin calendar page, there is an ellipsis menu. Clicking the menu opens the default offering configuration panel.
The lower panel is a list of the offerings that are configured to be offered that day. Using the drop down next to the offering allows you to assign the offering to a requirement group. Belonging to the same requirement group allows multiple offerings to count interchangeably as a single requirement.
It takes a period for each group to be satisfied. That means you should only ever have as many groups as there are periods in the day. Currently, there is no period assignment for the requirements. Any configured offering counts toward the requirement no matter when it is on the student's schedule. When the student's schedule is nearly complete, and the student hasn't selected required offerings, only the configured required offerings will be shown to the student when they select the next period.
To note: The required configuration is a single setting for the schedule set and can't be set two ways for two days at the same time. The advantage of this potentially is that consistently required offerings don't need to be added to each day. The downside is that if the requireds change every day, the timing of that update would need to be coordinated with the timing of the student's selection of their schedule.
