Hardware vs User Account Issues
Hardware Issue vs User Account Issue
Some issues that occur on your device may be related to your Google user account vs the Chromebook itself. If you’ve already restarted your Chromebook, as well as verified that internet is working just fine at your location, try the following:
Find another device, preferably another Windows or Mac computer, and log into Google Chrome using your @isd112.org account.
-
Attempt the same task you tried on your district machine.
If the same symptoms occur, this is a user account issue.
If the same issues do not occur, this is a hardware issue.
Troubleshooting steps to fix a Google account issue
Try the following steps to fix common Google account issues.
Confirm that your computer is connected to the internet.
Turn off/remove all non-district enabled Chrome extensions (type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar to see the installed extensions)
-
Clear your history, cookies, and cache in Chrome
Check Google Chrome for updates (chrome://settings/help in the address bar).
If you have multiple accounts signed into Google, such as a personal G-mail, sign out of all accounts other than your district account.
